Five Ideas
1 - The way women are represented
Women are represented as being prefect for example in magazine in print advertisements (vogue)
2 - Crime in the media
how youngsters are targeted to crime for example the news etc.
3 - Social networking sites.
How the younger generation are addicted to social networking sites such as Facebook and twitter which is having an affect on their socialising.
4 - TV crime drama
How TV crime dramas such as Luther present the police in a positive way however their are some question that may be asked about Luther and how he finds out his information.
5 - Reality TV
Does realty TV programmes such as big brother shows an real image of normal people in the everyday lives.
Top Three Ideas
The top three ideas that I have chosen to short list are idea numbers one, three and four. The reason behind these are:
The way women are being represented
- One of the reasons behind this females are represented in very positive ways. For example in print advertisement the modals look very beautiful as their photos have been edited on Photoshop, airbrushed their face making their skin look clear, make them look slimmer etc. By having women looking at thing like this daily it makes normal women feel self insecure with how they look and feel the need to match up to the women in print advertisements.
- Women are also represented as being objects, for example they may be in a print advertisement that has nothing to do with themselves but their only their to make something else look good.
- Also some women in print advertisement are model s that may be an inspiration to audiences. This will help them as they will be looking up to them.
Down below their is an example of a print advertisement, if women are shown this daily, they would start to and think this is what is attractive. Having skinny slim legs is what every woman should have.
Social networking sites.
- Social networking sites are a very popular thing for amongst teenagers, in my opinion it has a negative affect on them because even though their socialising their doing this through E- media this isn't the right type of socialising as it may lead to not being able to socialise in person.
- Social networking sites are now being miss used for example their is a lot of cyber bullying that occurs on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. They are used in the wrong way and thing that are said on them the people wouldn't normally say in person. As they are hiding behind a screen they think it okay form them to act in this way and put people down.
- Social networking has a very big impact on how people feel about themselves and what their told. For example in a situation of somebody was bullying another person online and said " go kill your self" and was persistent on this it could polemically lead to them actually complete the act and committing suicide.

TV crime drama
- TV crime drams are very interests as it give an insight of how crime is solved through the police view. An example of this would be Luther. This is shown on BBC and has just come out with its third series. The interesting thing about this TV service is that fact of how detective Luther gets some of his research.
- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p01b2b5c/Luther_Series_3_Episode_1/ this is a link on the first episode in the new series of Luther, in this episode we are shown how Luther gets his information out of his suspect. Luther threatens his suspect by throwing him over the balcony until he talks. This shows the audience that the police/ detective aren't always shown in a positive light.
